To New Yorkers who drive: How much is the fine if you pass a stopped school bus?

I found out that in 1990, a ticket for such a violation started at $150 to$250. How much did it go up?

1. The points on your license will be 5. Due to inflation and money hungry local governments, I wouldn't be surprised if it was in the $300-$400 range. Due to recent tragedies in upstate (idiots passing school buses and killing kids), the penalties are getting stiffer.
2. i live in england...that is the stupidest thing ive ever heard..so if a school bus pulls over,car drivers have to wait till the bus is empty and pulls away?..thats insane!..i mean why?..does the school bus doors open on the road not on the payment?[sidewalk?]...or do american kids just scatter in all directions when they lieve the bus,please exsplain.....
