Median and Driving and a school bus?

Wen you are driving down the road and there is a median and a school bus stops on the other side of the road do you have to stop even though you are on the oppisite side of the median

1. If there is a median in the road seperating each side, then no you don't have to stop. but if there is no median, you do have to stop
2. yes you are supposed to stop any time a school bus has its red lights flashing. of course of the other cars around you are not stopping common sense would say you do not want to stop so you do not get into an accident but legally you are supposed to
3. It appears that the laws vary from state to state regarding roadways that are divided by a median. In some states, you're allowed to continue if the bus is on the opposite side of the median. Others require you to stop no matter what.
