should i take the city bus after school?

i hate riding the school buses, its too crowded and everyones a jerk, i dont have a ride home, and i live about 2 miles away from school, theres a mall right next to my school were the bus comes and has bus stops near my house and my friends house, my friend will ride the bus with me, shes turning 14 and im 13, my parents dont really like me riding the bus but its a good way to get home and ill be with my friend the whole ride, i also wont be riding the bus everyday, what should i do?

  1. listen to your parents
  2. Sounds too dangerous at your age.
  3. Talk to your parents about how you feel and explain that this is actually a good skill for you to develop for independence-being able to use the mass transit system. The issue might be that you do have more independence as there are more stops and destinations with the city bus, and it also costs to ride it, where there is no cost for the school bus. Talk to your parents and see if you can't come to a compromise. Don't take it without them knowing-what if something happened to you and they didn't know where you were-that is a very scary thought for a parent.
  4. ride the school bus you dont know wahat sort of weirdos might me in the city bus there could be a rapist or anyone
  5. Do what your parents say. In order to ride the city bus, you need to prove that you are responsible.
