USA Bus Lines

i live in Atlanta, Ga and is there a easier way to use the Metro?

I'v looked on line for the diffrent stops but I am new to the area...So is there a schedule that tells the diffrent stops with the bus #'s....exact stops all together.

  1. Call the Marta offices and ask them for a schedule.
  2. Online it wont show all the stops on the line but it will show the "major" street that it will stop on. Usually the bus will stop on every block on the line. WHen you go itsmarta.com and click on the station stops you can see which bus line runs from the station and when you click on that busline look at the map and you can kinda tell where the bus will go and if it goes to where you need it to go. I have been out here in Atlanta for about 2 years and I had to figure out how to get around on the Marta system it can be hard at times but after a while you should be able to get it. I know people who have been here longer than me and still dont know how to get around on Marta. If you have any question about Marta you can hit me up with an email.
  3. Here's the online system map: http://www.itsmarta.com/maps/viewer.asp Just zoom in to the section of the city you're interested in and all the route numbers are listed. You can then get a detailed schedule (and map) for the route you need here: http://www.itsmarta.com/getthere/schedules/index-bus.htm Here's a rail map with all the stops: http://www.itsmarta.com/getthere/schedules/index-rail.htm (Click on text description and it will tell you EXACTLY where it goes, where it turns, click on the schedule and it will give you the timetable. It stops at the bus stops!)
  4. Using MARTA is pretty simple because we only have a few trains going Eastbound to Westbound (with the exception of a different from Five Points stopping at King Memorial). Then there are the Northbound and Southbound trains. As far as the bus numbers you can either stop in Five Points and pick up schedules from all the buses there or you can go to itsmarta. com. A lot of the bus stops also have schedules and maps at them and even on the buses themselves. Most buses run every half hour and stop pretty late, but heed if it runs on Sundays because in my area it does not. Good luck. Once you get the hang of it though it is pretty simple.
