taking the bus a turn off?

I'll be going out on a first date with a girl i really have feelings for. We're both 16, but i dont have a permit yet and even tho she does we'd still need to find someone with a liscense. Since i dont want one of my parents driving us, i'm thinking about taking the metro bus. Is that a turn off tho? Will she find it weird? I think it's a pretty good idea cuz there would be no awkward moment with parents, and if we wanted to go to more than one place we could always just hop back on the bus. We live about 5-10 mins away from each other, so we'd probly just meet at the bus stop and take it from there. What do you think tho, will she find it odd that we'd take the metro?
