  2. Do you mean the f train that is part of the NYC subway? No dice - not possible. NYC subway doesn't go in New Jersey. There is a Penn Station in Manhattan. Could that be why you are confused? You need to look at the Path train. Take the Path into Manhattan. Then you can get on the NYC subway from there. Here is the path. Check it out - Newark to Manhattan. http://www.panynj.gov/CommutingTravel/path/html/map.html Now here is the subway. http://www.mta.info/nyct/maps/submap.htm Good luck
  3. I believe you have to take a train to get from Newark's Penn Station to New York's Penn Station. NJ Transit Trip Planner http://www.njtransit.com/sf/sf_servlet.srv?hdnPageAction=TrainSchedulesTo You can use MTA's Trip Planner once you get to the NYC area. It's trustworthy and they offer you different choices. http://tripplanner.mta.info/ I usually use Google Maps that make it easier to locate the closest stations.
  4. New Jersey does not allow NYC Subway, but they do allow NYCT buses. There are no NYC Subways available in NYC because NJ is territory CHEAPEST WAY: From PATH MetroCard Vending Machine, select regular card, new card, other acount. Type $3.75 for $1.75 PATH and $2 Subway. Take WTC train to Journal Sq, and transfer across platform for Midtown Direct. (AVOID via HOBOKEN because that sit 5 minutes at Hoboken before going to Manhattan) Take 33rd St direct to 14th St. Exit the PATH, go upstair, then paid $2 into Subway, take downtown (F) local to East Broadway. But watch out for construction, especially weekend.
  5. My freind, you will have to take the PATH Train from Newark Penn Station into New York. Step 1: take a New York-bound PATH Train from Newark Penn Station to the World Trade Center. Step 2: at the World Trade Center, transfer to the New York City subway. Take the uptown (northbound) "A", "C" or "E" train (Blue Line) from Chambers Street-WTC to West 4th Street-Washington Square. Step 3: at West 4th Street-Washington Square, go downstairs and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound "F" train (Orange Line). Take the "F" train from West 4th Street-Washington Square to East Broadway Step 4: when you exit the subway at East Broadway, you'll be at the corner of East Broadway and Rutgers Street. Walk south along East Broadway for 5 block, until you get to the corner of East Broadway and Forsyth Street. 88 East Broadway is at corner of East Broadway and Forsyth Street, right at the foot of the Manhattan Bridge. I hope this information is very helpful. Good luck and happy travels. Native New Yorker
  6. If you're trying to get from the Newark airport to the Chinatown bus, you'll want to: 1) Take the NJ Transit from Newark Penn Station to NY Penn Station. It will be ~$15, and the ride should be a bit longer than 30 minutes. 2) Get out at Penn Station and follow the signs to the F train. You can always ask at the information booth in the station. 3) Get on the downtown F train. It is approximately 5 stops to the East Broadway stop on the F, where you get off. 4) Get out at East Broadway and walk a few blocks towards busy Chinatown stores. Again, you can ask someone here, or you can follow the numbers along East Broadway. The Chinatown buses are lined up all together, and should be relatively easy to spot once you're there. Again, Newark Penn Station --> NJ Transit to NY Penn Station --> F Train to East Broadway --> short walk Hope that helps!
