The Bolt Bus?
Has anyone ever used the Bolt Bus service to get to New York. It is quite inexpensive but I wondered if it is safe and reliable. My concern is that if it so cheap how are they maintaining their fleet of buses and paying their drivers. Thanks so much for the info. I will certainly try it now.

- I haven't tried it yet, but I heard about it on the news. Its a division of one of the major lines, I think greyhound. It's intended to compete with the china town bus lines. The idea is to sell advance tickets really cheap to build up customers and approach the break even point, then sell the tickets for progressively more money as the date of travel approaches to make their profit. It sounds great. Next time I take a bus from NYC that's what I'm using.
- It is just for introducing price so cheap to adv the company, but it will go up to normal price soon, NY to DC will be $40 later, not $10, 20.
- My friend, the line is owned operated by Greyhound Bus Lines, with Peter Pan Bus Lines as a partner. The service is very reliable. Good luck Native New Yorker
