  1. You can take the subway from JFK. There are many good hotels in NYC, but what is your budget?
  2. Whatever you do make sure they do not have shared bathrooms.
  3. Go to hotels . com. They'll help you find what you need.
  4. Try bestwestern and look for it and book it on the internet, it is very cheap.
  5. Check out hotels.com expedia.com travelocity.com for all the best deals on hotels. These are who I use when I travel the country.
  6. Hello: Go to http://www.grab2travel.com Go to "Hotels" section. Click on SmartSearch - you can enter your trip detail once and can compare rates on multiple major travelsite from one place. You dont have to enter trip detail again and again.. thats very helpful.. I liked it.
  7. Check out turbotrip.com, hotels.com, and hotwire.com all which offer decent hotels at reasonable rates. Unfortunately all will ask for you to pay for the entire reservation up front...but at least you can get an idea of what you want/expect. I've stayed in Edison, Days Inn, Best Western and Radio City Suites are all clean and priced around $110.00 - $135.00 a night and located midtown.
  8. It depends on where in NYC you want to be. Close to Times SQ., Broadway and Central Park is the Wellington, it's decent enough and competitively priced for the area. It's just a block from Carnegie Hall. Once you decide on where you are going to stay, call the concierge desk of the hotel and have him schedule a private van or towncar service for you from JFK. What they'll do is schedule the ride for your group and give you a reservation number and phone number to call once you arrive at the airport. Then they'll tell you the car or van number to look for. It's really easy. On the return to the airport, the hotel concierge desk will make the call fo you.
  9. There is bus service from JFK to Grand Central and Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan. Fare is about $12 one way or $20 for roundtrip. All of you can get on the bus together. Otherwise, van service is really crappy and it takes forever b/c the drivers try to cram in as many people as they can - you're better off just hiring a car service. The cheapest decent hotel I know of is the Clarion on Park Avenue. It's small but the rooms are clean and cozy. It's 2 stops on the 6 train from Grand Central. Subway is one block from the hotel.
  10. Call 1-800-NYC-Guide/1-800-692-4843...They give you a free guide with price of hotels and raitings and coupons attractions to see and such. They also tell you what places to eat and there prices.I used the NYC Guide and we saved $50.00 in one day on are trip. Lastly it also tells you neat little facts. You wont regret doing that.
  11. go to cheaphotels.com and make sure you have your own bathroom. A 3 star is best. Do 3 things before if you find one you you think you might like. Check it out on line at least at 4 different sites you want the best price. then before you book it call and ask the price sometimes they will give you a better price on the phone. Always act as comparison shopping and say some one else was like ten dollars cheaper they seem to go down in price then. Good Luck
