I live in New York and would ilke to move to the Las Vegas area in the next year or two?

I will be going to Las Vegas in September and once I am there I would like to check out the Henderson and Summerlin areas. Which area do you like better? How many miles are they from the strip? Also, how much would a taxi cost from the strip to either Henderson or Summerlin and do they have any bus service from the strip, I will not be renting a car. Any info on these questions will be appreciated. Thanks!!

1. Hi! I have lived in both areas of the valley. Both are, I believe, the best areas in Las Vegas. (And I'm pretty sure if you ask around, people will agree) They are nice, safe, many other things I can't even begin to say. When you're there at home it's like your own community - like you don't even live in "Sin City" (but you can still go to the strip for that!) I currently live in Henderson and I love living out here. I drive to the LV Strip everyday and its about 10 miles. It's a very quick drive. A taxi would probably cost about $30 - $40 from Henderson I believe. I'm not so sure about Summerlin - it's a little farther out than Henderson (from the strip.) We have a public transportation system called the CAT Bus.
