How do I get from New York city to Logan international airport, boston?

Is there a train or bus service i can use and how long will it take?

  1. Well obviously the easiest way is by airplane. Trains are available, but can often be as much or more than flying. There are cheap busses that will take you from NYC to the bus depot in Boston. Try Bolt Bus, I hear they're better than the china town busses. Avoid Fung Wah unless you want to flip over on I-91. To get from there to the airport, try the Boston forum.
  2. If you do decide to take the train (the most pleasant way, I think) there is a direct "Bus Rapid Transit" Silver Line from Boston South Station (where the train ends) to Logan Airport. It should just take a few minutes from the station to the airport.
  3. Sorry, you can't get there from here.
  4. In New York, long-distance (Amtrak) trains leave from Penn Station and several bus lines, including Greyhound and Peter Pan, leave from Port Authority Bus Station. All of the above come into South Station in Boston. To get from there to the airport, take the Silver Line bus...it's possible to do it on the T subway but it would require several annoying transfers. For a slightly cheaper trip up you can take a Chinatown bus, from Chinatown in Manhattan to Chinatown in Boston, and then take the Orange Line subway to the Blue line (transfer at State St.), get off the Blue at Airport station, and then there's a free bus to the airport terminal. Getting to downtown Boston takes about 4 hours, and then allow another 30 minutes for getting out to Logan from downtown.
