Easiest is to take a Greyhound from Riverside into Tijuana where you will pick up your tourist card/visa.(Do not lose it.It must be turned in when you leave Mexico).There are three bus stations in Tijuana,direct buses for Guadalajara leave from the "Downtown" bus station.It is a long (30hours+/-) trip.The fare, one way,is about US$100.
