USA Bus Lines

I am trying to plan a family reunion trip from Penna to Texas. Where can I find a good chartered bus service?

Would like to leave July 4th, reunion picnic July 5th and return home July 6th of 2008.

  1. penna to where? do a search for texas bus charter.
  2. There are many reputable bus lines in PA. A good place to start would be at the buses.org website which will offer members of the American Bus Association, one of the largest trade associations for this industry. You are wise to plan early as charter services can often be difficult to find at the last minute! You may want to extend the time a little as the distance you want to travel is not easily covered by bus in a day. Depending on what part of PA you depart from and what part of TX you want to visit - it could be as much as 2000 miles (+-). This would mean at least 30 hours of non-stop driving and would not leave anyone in the mood for a reunion! Consider this option - make this an event for all families - take a week - spend two nights each way en route - maybe taking in the local sights- and stay two nights in your TX destination. Everyone will have more time together - the pace won't be as hurried - and you can create more family memories by spending even more time together! A good charter operator can assist with planning, advise about hours of service limits for drivers, suggest stops for meals and accommodations and more. By the way - motorcoach travel is the safest and most fuel efficient method of travel - over 774 million people travel annually by motorcoach, averaging over 180 MPG per total passenger mile!
