bus lines in mexico?
I am wanting to travel from phx, az to mexico city, mexico. I am looking for an alternative to greyhound (cheaper) I figured I would get to nogales, mexico and then get a local bus to mexico city, but I am having a hard time finding a website for a bus line that offers service to northern mexico. Any help, I am backpacking so an around-about route is fine.

- Hi I just checked and it seems that "chihuahueses" is one of them down to mexico city. Anyway try this... web site www.centraldelnorte.com this will take u to a list of several lineslinks that go to the proper terminal in mexico city designated to buses coming from north. Hope to be helpful. Outside this station there is a subway station just in front.
- There is an extensive bus network in Mexico, and there are many direct buses a day between Nogales and Mexico City. You can buy your tickets there at the bus station, they're sure to have place, and that way you don't have to worry about missing your bus.
- In any Bus station you can chech the itinararys. Can also check http://www.ticketbus.com.mx its only in spanish (should I say mexican?) but there you can check some bus lines. I don't know if it works with students from abroad but mexican students get a 50% discounts showing their school ID
- the bus lnes in mexico dont have good wed pages yet but in any terminal in amy city you can buy tickets to mexico city you may try "chihuahuenses" or "estrela blanca" wich are the main lines in the noth of mexico, you'll always get a place, dont worry about that, don't look in ticket bus page cause its only for southern mexico.
