What is the clerification of the Italian Greyhound breed standard regarding the nose?
This is directly from the AKC IG breed standard..... Nose Dark. It may be black or brown or in keeping with the color of the dog. A light or partly pigmented nose is a fault. Does this mean that if the dogs face is white the nose can be white? Also does this mean that if the dogs face is half white can the dogs nose be half white?

- No just the pigment should or could be lighter
- No, it just means that it can be lighter. So the nose can be a light chocolate or black, but white would mean no pigment at all.
- It has a dark nose, thin lips and a healthy scissors bite. White markings do not change the color of the nose. The nose must be dark (or match the color of the dog. Cannot be white.)
- NO IT DOESN'T!!! What part of "LIGHT or PARTLY PIGMENTED" can't you GET?? DUH??? Do faults occur? OF COURSE!!! That's why there's PET stuff available !
