Does anyone know of an adult male italian greyhound that is for sale or up for adoption in or near NYS?

In pet stores it is easy to find puppies, but i'm finding it difficult to find an older dog(2-4yrs). My current Italian Greyhound has calmed down over the last couple years and a new puppy would be too hyper for him to get along with.

1. try your local animal shelter this site sell's older dogs to like the age you want www.puppyfind.com
2. There are many rescue groups for greyhounds....Since they use them as a sport(dog racing) many rescues have appeared...They use the dogs and discard them when they are done...I,ve even heard they drugged them to be faster!!!SAD>>>
3. If you go to the Italian Greyhound Club of America website, and click on the link for Rescue, you will be able to locate the NYS Rescue Rep. Email me if you can't find it....
