- Could be what you suggest or it could be nothing more than asking you a couple of questions like where you live why are you coming to Canada where are you going when you enter the country......same things I get asked when I enter the US.
- have your id and return ticket. Our people are nice and dont have guns yet.
- They will ask you questions like, where are you from, why are you travelling to Canada, how long will you be in the country, what you are bringing with you. Make sure you have some sort of photo ID with you. To correct the last answer ... they are NOT nice at the Canadian border and they do carry guns. They take things just as seriously as they do at the American border.
- They make everyone go inside and line up. They check your bags, ask you a million questions as to why your going to Canada, who your going to see, can you support yourself while in Canada, the whole reason for being there, how long your staying, when your returning and I think thats about it. I've taken the bus through the border several times and its not that fun. Especially when theres a passenger they need to question more. Holds the bus up until they're done with that person. Hope this helps!
- Your name is on the passenger list and better match up with your ID They check everyone just like you are going through in a car Nowadays every ones name is run though their computer
