  1. get as comfy as you can because yes, you sleep on the bus.
  2. You sleep when your tired
  3. i hope so!
  4. If you are taking that long of a trip you are sure to sleep some of the time. It sure can be boring.
  5. I will never, ever do a bus again. I took a bus from outside of Cleveland to Buffalo...never again. Had the people slept on the bus it would have been fine. From the smell though, they where not potty trained and hadn't bathed in a few weeks! Seriously, I would walk first, that was nasty!!
  6. you do, because it is boring and the seats are uncomfortable. you change buses when you get to the destination, it might be the middle of the night, early in the morning or mid-afternoon. you have about 15 min. to change to the next bus. the drivers are on a mission to get to the destination as soon as possible, because they want to go home themselves.
  7. I've taken Greyhound twice, once for a 36 hour ride and once for 24 hours. You switch buses at all times, morning, night, whatever. You just kind of sleep whenever you need to, but it usually doesn't last long because of the stops and people getting on and off the bus. I wouldn't suggest sleeping in bus terminals because you might not hear when it's time to re-board.
  8. I would rather take a full fledged butt whipping than ever take a bus trip again. Have done it twice, many years ago, and there were a couple of times I actually thought about jumping off the bus while it was going down the highway at 70 mph! The stench was unbelievable, people were drunk and rude and some of them looked like psychos! No thanks! Thank goodness l can now afford to fly or drive or ride a train. Good luck - you will need it!
  9. Did a bus trip from Chicago to Las Vegas once years ago with a bunch of friends. I can tell you that I have not been on a bus since. I will walk first ! You sleep on the bus in the very uncomfortable seat that you sit in. And yes, they have bathrooms. After a few hours you just do not want to go into it though. And heaven forbid if you are sitting in the rear of the bus near the bathroom. Not only does it smell ,it also gets very dirty. And that only rivals the smell from some of your fellow travelers ! If you can at all afford another mode of transportation, I would strongly urge you to use it !
