How safe and clean is a Greyhound Bus?
Can someone tell me about their experiences on a Greyhound bus, I don't know that much about it, at ALL. I need to be educated! :) I will be traveling from Atlanta to Connecticut, it's a 24 hour long trip, 1165 miles.... Come on please encourage me here, I have no other options.

- It's going to be a gross long trip!! Make sure you can take a shower at the end of it!
- Greyhound is a great bus company. They are very safe and efficient. They clean their buses every use so you should be fine. Good luck on your trip hope it's a good one.
- it is a safe and clean as the ppl that ride...just dont talk to strangers and dont sit on the toilet!b sure to get some snacks to take with u cause u never can tell when the bus will stop at a inexpensive place to eat.stay close to the bus and or the ppl on the bus so they dont drive off without u.if u have enough arms to take a pillow i would, but ur jacket will do,and u may need that jacket if it gets chilly.
- Don't worry!! You'll be fine- Greyhound buses are clean and usually sanitary. There is usually a toilet you can go to near the back stairs, although it's not always clean... The seats are cushioned, with large windows that have curtains. There is usually a personal air conditioning/ventilation system right above your head, but often it can get cold, so bring a jacket. There is generally enough leg room, and there may be seatbelts. Your bus might make 2 or 3 pit stops, but be sure to bring an iPod or a book, or something to keep you busy, and a snack. Defintely bring water, so you don't get dehydrated!! Good luck, and enjoy your trip- it's fine!
- I take it you don't fly. Me either! I either drive, or take a train. Never traveled that far on a bus. A train could be another option as you can get an apartment on board. Frankly I think it's safer than a bus. You might want to check out the rates however. Good luck and save journey.
- I think the bus is perfectly fine! The trick is to sit somewhere where you feel comfortable. I sit towards the front. Bus Drivers do not take any crap from anyone, so if you have any trouble, you can say something to them. honestly though, most people just sleep or read. Do not leave anything valuable unattended!! But that does for any time you travel.
