USA Bus Lines

If you buy a greyhound bus regular roundtrip ticket ,can u stay a few hours if you wanted to take in the sight

I'm planning taking greyhound 2 NYC from LA,and wonder if with a regular ticket,I can stay at a city for a few hours and catch the next bus going on to NYC? Would like to stay in Vegas a few hours then get on the next bus going on to NYC,and if it's going to Chicago stay there for a few hours, and board the the bus to NY! Can I do that at no extra charge?

  1. yea you can but you have to use the greyhound routes and times. i would also ok it with the ticket master.
  2. I don't see why not. Although it might take a lot longer to get from LA to NYC. As long as you use the ticket within a year, it's still valid, no matter what. But if you are unsure, call greyhound or when buying the ticket, ask the person. Have a good trip
  3. My friend, the link below has all the information you need to know about Greyhound Bus ticket policies. However, if you in doubt , my advice is call the 800 number at the link below. Good luck Native New Yorker
  4. Hi. I recently went greyhound from California to Texas round trip. Enroute I met people who had missed re-boarding, and people who were over booked on a bus. In both cases, they just had to wait for the next bus. Keep in mind that the order of boarding is re-boarding passengers, passengers originating at that location, and those who missed their bus board last. So if the bus is crowded, you may have to wait a little longer. So your answer is 'yes'. You can stay a while. (Is that worth 'Best Answer'?)
