Where can I find an Italian Greyhound stud?
I am going to breed my Italian Greyhound female next year and am wondering how to go about finding a stud to breed her with. Anyone with experience in this area? Thanks

- Why through the IG breed club you're a member of. After all while showing your bitch and attending plenty of events you should have plenty of other breeder contacts. Because of course you have no intention of breeding a pet quality unproven and untested bitch, right?
- I can only backup what Rayven just said...
- i think that you already have a lot of contacts
- Well, I'm not experienced but why don't you try ' www.petsforhomes.co.uk'. It might help. x
- byboftheworld.com no reputable stud will cover your pet
- I agree with Rayven totally.
- Why do you want to breed her? Do you have several people lined up to take the would be puppies? I work with a shelter and we constantly get very sweet tempered, purebred dogs. Unless your dog is a great representation of the Iggy breed, has a great temperament, is super healthy, and doesn't have a family history of things like hip dysplasia, cataracts, etc. (whatever Iggy's are prone to), you should not breed her. If you are breeding so that you can have another Italian Greyhound, just adopt one instead. There are so many purebred and mixed Italian Greyhounds in shelters & foster homes out there who need good homes. I would love to breed my dogs and have little puppies running around, but we have to be responsible and stop condemning thousands of dogs to death a year.
