What is the Greyhound Bus equivalent in England?
I'm looking to travel around the UK by bus. Does anyone know any cheap companies that do this like Greyhound does in the states? There are overwhelming results when searching. Is there one single bus line that's fairly inexpensive?

- 'National Express' - its the same as(its our equivalent)
- National Express can well deserve that honour : http://www.nationalexpress.com/coach/index.cfm
- National Express and MegaBus are the two main long distance bus companies. However you should consider the train too. Its far faster and more comfortable and as a visitor from overseas, you can buy a Britrail Pass before arrival in the U.K; these are inexpensive and give you the freedom of the network which is extensive, and generally far more frequent than buses. www.britrail.com
- Megabus is the cheapest, www.megabus.com, otherwise its National Express, www.nationalexpress.co.uk Megabus fares start at just £1 single, plus 50p booking fee
