are there rules regarding school bus stops?

Public Comments

  1. Several Depending if your a student or a driver passing the bus... As a student the main thing is to NEVER EVER pass directly in front of the school bus, if you have to walk in front of the bus walk about 6 feet in-front of it, or the driver may not be-able to see you over the nose of the bus, If the bus has a flat face or one of those sticks that extends from the front to prevent you from walking to close to it, don't worry about that rule.... Most other rules just consist of being aware of your closeness to the road, the other people on the sidewalk and orderly boarding of the bus... As a driver ALWAYS STOP WHEN THE STOP LIGHTS ARE ON because there may be kids that walk into the lane that the bus is not occupying to cross the street, which is why the bus has a stop sign that comes out from the side.
  2. There are quite a few actually. Can you be more specific as to what you are looking for?
