All I need to know about paintball gun shooting?

I'm trying to plan a fun day at a paintball range in Chicago or the surrounding areas. I found a place that I think is nice but I don't know if their prices are a good deal or not. I dont know much about paintball ranges. Here's the link to their prices ( http://www.thebadlandz.com/PRICING2010.htm ) Are these good deals? Im thinking of the $25 package but where can I buy cheap paintballs at? It's going to be a lot of my friends and some parents. Maybe about 40-50 people and we need transportation. Where can we find a nice charter bus or even a school bus where if at least 30 people are coming it'll be $10-$15/person for transportation? Also what do we need to wear? We're planning on doing a boys vs girls war. If we take the $25 package, buy our own paintball guns and rent a bus about how much would everything cost per person participating? Please let me know any info Ill need to know about paintball ranges and if you know anymore with better deals.We're trying to go in August. Thanks in advance! :) If we did book private we would probably use the green package (http://www.thebadlandz.com/privategames/index.htm) The thing says that we get 500 rounds of paintballs per player so can someone explain to me why we still have to purchase paintballs if they're supposed to be included. Is 500 rounds per player enough to play all day? If we decided to buy paint together and 5 people split the cost of 2000 paintballs would that be enough for all of us to play all day?

1. oh wow.. 30 people! that's a lot of people dude looking at the pictures it does look like a big field to play in. With that many people, i'd recommend a private group so that it can just be between friends and family. (no strangers cheating, excessively shooting you, or feeling out matched. especially with the girls there) Long as it's 30 or more people you can schedule any day of the week, that's a plus. I'd have to admit, $25 just for entry and all day air is pretty high in my opinion. i'm from California and usually entry fee and all day air costs about $11~20 per person, not count paint but $25 seems do-able. For what to wear, i'd recommend jeans and long sleeve shirt. For the girls i'd recommend padded vests or hard cover for the chest area. Usually they rent those out at the paintball fields (probably $5~15 to rent) Personally unless your planning on making paintball one of your hobbies i wouldn't go out and "buy your own paintball guns" if you do private group or not, all of you can get rental guns and be evenly matched between your group. For bringing your own paint... usually 1600~2000 box paints cost $35~65 depending on quality of the paint. and for the rental bus.. sorry but i know nothing about that stuff ^.^;
2. I can't help you with the bus. You're on your own there. However I can help you with the paintball. The $25 package is the cheapest no doubt, but look closely. You'll have to pay another $15 for rentals if you don't have your own equipment which comes to $40. Then you'll have to buy your own paint at the store which is about $15 - $20. Overall your cost is $55 - $60. Listen to this: Have every 2 people together buy a package #3 and a package #1 then split the box of 2000 paintballs. Your cost per person is then at $57.50. And each person has 1000 rounds to shoot. No matter what you do you're gonna pay about $60. If you buy cheap paint at $15 per 1000 at the sporting goods store you're still gonna pay the $40 for entry and rentals. You're best off having every 2 people buy a #1 and #3 together and splitting paint. If you're really wanting to go cheap you can try buying the "Bucket-o-Paint". I think it's really cheap but I wouldn't shoot it myself because that stuff curves like a wiffle ball. Wear whatever is comfortable. I assume it will be hot in August so Jeans and a T shirt will do fine. Wear something you can throw away. You will stain it for sure. That's all I know though. I hope this helps. 50 people!?
