USA Bus Lines

Need a job in a week or less? Living in shelter?

and need to get out in a few days. Have applied with local unemployment office, have applied for hundreds of jobs through them, gone to networking parties, gone to job fairs, distributed tons and tons of resumes and applications, gotten references, etc. and nothing in over a year! Just looking for a place to land, people! It's like all my information travels into a black hole, never to be seen again. Anyone else out there dealing with this? I know you are- somewhere. I used to be a hairdresser and my license expired 3 years ago, never got renewed due to financial and medical reasons. Currently seeking Clerical assignments in Central Florida near Lakeland. I now take the bus or walk to places and it makes it tough to get anywhere especially for weekend shifts, and I lost my car over a year ago as everything under the hood broke down all at once. I am working on getting another, but I need work on the bus lines here. I have applied at staffing firms and temp agencies, one-stop centers, looked in the online job boards and newspapers, classified ads, etc. Have applied for all kinds of clerical jobs, and some side jobs, and some casting productions, and there is just nothing or next to it out here. PLEASE HELP.... living in a shelter and need to get out very soon!!!!!

  1. I have been out of work for a year and a half. You are not alone. I feel that my job search has been almost useless. I can't help you but I just wanted to tell you you are not alone in this.
  2. A few other posters have mentioned some affiliate marketing programs. I personally prefer these because (a) you work for yourself, basically and (b) how much you earn is determined by how much time and effort you're willing to put into it.,,.
  3. Real online data entry jobs are available. But you need to be careful. Most of the company's income come from member sign up fee not from actual work. So be careful about paid signu,p.
  4. I work from home and have done so for the last 9 years so don't believe the ones that say it can't be done.
  5. You should have gotten something. Talk to the people at the staffing firm, ask them why you are not hirable. There may be a simple skill that you have not mentioned on your resume.
  6. I work for a charity and work from home, with a genuine job I've been doing for 16 years, full time.
