How can I find information on a Greyhound bus route?

A friend is coming into town via Greyhound bus...he was supposed to be here 2 1/2 hours ago, but he isn't. My boyfriend is at the bus station waiting for him, and he can't get any information from the people who work there. Is this typical? Is it normal for Greyhound buses to be so late? Is there a way I can find out if the bus already arrived (and our friend wasn't on it) or if there was a delay? I went to the Greyhound website, but that's no help...any other ideas? Thanks.

1. Sadly, this is pretty common in the travel industry these days. Unlike airlines, buses don't have specific passenger manifests, so there's really no way to know who was on a specific bus. Also, OTR bus drivers are notorious for speeding among other things, so it could be that they got pulled over or delayed at a rest stop. I hate to say it, but you're pretty much out of luck.
