If you are traveling in a tour bus, can it be considered your residence?
You are on "tour" (performing concerts etc...) throughout the US and are basically living out of your tour bus (or motorhome) for approx. 6 moths or so... Can it be considered for that time period your residence?
Public Comments
- no
- No. Your residence is where you live when you are not touring (where you pay your taxes).
- No, you need to have a permanent address which is your legal residence.
- For what purpose are you asking? If for civil purposes (lawsuit, service, etc.) no. If you are asking for a criminal search warrant, the courts HAVE shown greater protections for busses than cars in this type of situation.
- Oh yes absolutely. -the only reason I know this, LOL, is because of the nations gun laws concerning motorhomes. Almost every state has a statute concerning firearms in RV's and the exemptions from normal laws.
