What are the benefits of digital signs at Bus Stops? On the Bus? At the Station?

What is the benefit of having Digital Signs with Bus schedules, maps, time, date, weather, and Advertisements and emergency updaes at bus stations, on board the buses and at the stops? (v.s. regular printed signs or announcements)

2. In theory, they provide you with more up to date information than a printed timetable would be able to. You can then adjust your plans accordingly.
3. Digital signage at every bus stop and on buses announces the wait-time for different bus lines via GPS..
4. Regular printed signs get out of date. Announcements are too hard to hear. Speakers wear out, get stolen, etc.
