How can I add exercising into a busy schedule?
I'm a 13 year old girl and I've realized that I really need to start getting active and physically fit. I have a running machine at home but I'm too embarassed to exercise infront of my parents. Also, I live in an apartment which makes it impossible to do anything. Everyday, I walk about 5-10 minutes to school (after taking the bus and metro) twice a day so I consider that exercising (and I usually have a heavy backpack). After school, I have homework and math tutoring every day and I end at around 9:00. Then I shower the night before (because I have to wake up a 6:30 a.m.) which leaves me no time to exercise. What should I do?

- I know its emmbaressing but i would take the oppurtunity to go on it. your Parents will actually be happy to see you exercising they wont judge you trust me:)
- instead of taking the bus and metro, walk to school! other than that I think you should suck it up and exercise in front of your parents or whenever you are free, you should walk around town.
- Walk instead of taking the bus. Walk the stairs instead of using an elevator. Go the long way to class or home rather than the short way. Want to some fresh air or need to think? Take a walk on the weekends.
- you're only 13, enjoy the free time you have. maybe on the weekends get on the machine for fifteen min, a half hour tops. you're still young, although it's good that you're thinking of your health. I say if you're not over weight or anything, then just put in a little extra umph in gym class and feel good about yourself, ok?
