  1. If you are under 18 then you just need your birth certificate and a permission letter from your parents allowing you to enter into Canada. if you are over 18 you are required to have a Passport, Passport ID Card, NEXUS Card or Enhanced Driver's License to go between Canada, US, Mexico and 26 Caribbean Nations whether by Land or Sea as of June 1, 2009. While you do have a ticket from a US State to a US State you are crossing the border into Canada which is another nation. The Canadian immigration/Customs might allow you to enter but you will run into problems with trying to reenter into the US. You can actually stop at any time and get off the bus even though you did buy a round trip ticket. The only exception will be if you are military traveling on orders and then you can use a copy of your orders along with your Military ID card.
  2. The law changed recently and regardless of age, everyone now needs a valid passport. I went on a coach bus over the summer and when I was crossing over from Canada to USA, i needed a passport, and same when I came back. Before the law changed, I was able to cross the border with a birth certificate. But either way, since your 18, I believe a passport is required. Just to be safe, bring a passport since it has all the information on it anyways.
