How do I get to Vigan in the Philippines by bus from Ortigas?

We'd like to take a bus to Vigan. We're coming from the Astoria Plaza hotel in Ortigas (Pasig, I believe). Where is the closest bus station for a bus to Vigan, and how can we get to the station using bus/jeepney/MRT/LRT ? We heard about Partas; are there other choices for bus companies ? Where can we get bus schedules ? Thanks very much.

1. From your location, Partas' Cubao terminal is closest. It's at Aurora Blvd near N. Domingo street and the intersections of Aurora, E. Rodriguez Ave., and EDSA. It's much easier to take a cab. Call them for their times. Your hotel should be able to help with that and how to get there.
2. Get a taxi and ask the driver to bring you to the Partas bus station. There's one in Pasay city along EDSA and one nearer to you somewhere in the Mandaluyong/Pasig area. My favorite is Florida, the purple bus, not the pink one. They are mostly on time and have courteous drivers and conductors. Their buses have an on-board comfort room. There is also Philippine Rabbit, Fariñas and Maria de Leon. Take nothing less than an aircon bus and it is better to travel at night to avoid excessive heat and traffic.
