USA Bus Lines

Is there a bus directly from Mexico City to Irapuato, GTO?

I am flying into Mexico City. I know that there is no direct bus to Irapuato from there. You have to go to Queretero then transfer to Irapuato. I know there are other bus stations with bus lines that go directly from the airport to Irapuato. But does anyone know the names of the station? Or any suggestions or websites to check? Thanks!!!

  1. There are 4 large bus stations in Mexico City. Buses going to cities to the west usually leave from the Poiniente station. Buses going to the north usually leave from the Norte station. So, bused going t o Irapuato from Mexico City would most likely leave from one of those stations. When you asked about this before, I looked on each of the few functioning websites for Mexican buses and found none from Mexico City to Irapuato. I just looked now and found that Omnibus says it has a bus at 10:00 in the morning on that route for 257 pesos. the problem is, the site just says the bus leaves from Mexico D.F., it does not specify which station...some lines do that, some don't. The page does have the phone number for Omnibus...so you could try calling that and asking. See 1st site below. There are hundreds pf bus companies in Mexico. Only a few have websites. Only a few of those actually work. There may be other buses that go to Irapuato, but the only way to find out is go to TAPO ( the main station in Mexico ) and ASK...then take a shuttle bus to the correct station if necessary. Or, if you like , go to the Norte station from the airport and ask. It is just extremely difficult to get details about buses in Mexico unless you go to the station and ask. the buses are great, the information system. is poor. As Americans we are used to planning every detail out ahead of time. In Mexico it simply does not work that way...with buses and all other aspects of life. Used to bug me, but after 5 years, I have become accustomed to it. i was scared to set out on a trip, not knowing the details, now I just get on the 1st bus and know I can work out the rest of the trip as I go.
  2. BEING IN MEXICO CITY U CAN GO TO ALMSOT ALL PLACES TO THE COUNTRY U CAN GO TO IRAPUATO DIRECTLY FROM MEXICO CITY GO TO A PLACE CALLED"LA CENTRAL DEL NORTE" U CAN FIND A SUBWAY STATION THERE IN "LA CENTRALN DEL NORTE" U CAN GO TO ALMOST ALL PLACES IN NORTH OF MEXICO OR U CAN GO TO CAPITAL OF GUANAJUATO AND THERE IT WILL BE EASY GO TO IRAPUATO
  3. Yes, there is a bus, try here http://secure.primeraplus.com.mx/fapweb/primeraplus/Home/tabid/74/language/es-MX/Default.aspx the cost is 350 pesos or maybe here http://www.etn.com.mx/ it costs 380 and is luxury service. I guess is easy to take a taxi from the airport to "central del norte" (where you can take the bus) if you dont know the city. From Mexico City to Irapuato you will make about 4 hours, enjoy Guanajuato and buy "cajeta" and "glorias" (is a candys name) :D
