National Bus Service?

My friend is looking to come up to Binghamton, NY from Biloxi, MS. I need a national charter bus service for just one person looking to book a ticket. All I keep getting is rental rates to book an entire bus. Does any one know of any bus service other than Greyhound? Thanks oh okay, so how do I book it so that he'll stop off?

  1. Enter the name of the local carrier that serves Binghamton and look at their schedules. There may not be a direct carrier and he may have to transfer from one to another. Transfer point may be Chicago or St. Louis and then Chicago before he can come east.
  2. You don't want a charter bus unless you have like 40 people in your group. "Charter" means you buy the whole bus for a journey. Greyhound and Trailways are likely to be the only common carriers. There could be regional bus systems in the south, but it might be hard to connect from one area to the next. Greyhound is generally priced competitively, especially against Amtrak.
  3. Greyhound quotes that trip at $190 to $400RT, depending on date of travel. Plus 1.5 days of travel and 5 transfers. Kayak.com has flights from $188 RT to nearby airports. I'd check out flying. Take a look at Biloxi to Binghamton, or Biloxi to Albany/Philadelphia/NYC/etc then bus to Binghamton.
