Why would the school knowingly put an elementary school bus stop next to a convicted pedophile?

I just spoke to the school transportation department and was informed that are aware of the fact that there is a pedophile two doors down from the bus stop. They do not change bus stops for this reason and I need to contact law enforcement if I had an issue. Why is it that children's safety is no longer a concern of the school?

1. If there is a child on that block, wouldn't the bus have to stop there? Just because a registered sex offender lives there doesn't mean the bus can't be near.

I don't think most convicted sex predators with their name, address and convictions on a website for life are going to leap out of their door to grab a kid waiting for the bus two doors from their house. I'm not soft on pedos but realistically how is it constitutional to be interviewed and photographed and posted on the web every few months AFTER they have served their time and are released? If you are truly concerned drive your kid to school.
5. Possibility one: the bus stop, like pretty much every bus stop, was there before this person moved in. Possibility two: parents aren't comfortable with their children walking alone for several blocks rather than catching the bus on their own street. Possibility three: parents don't want to drive their kids. There are specific laws governing where bus stops are located. Some things that they keep in mind are distance (from the nearest bus stops) and safety (is there a safe place for the children to stand where they are unlikely to be hit by cars). If you don't want your child waiting at that bus stop, you can either make him or her walk to the next one, drive him/her to another bus stop, or drive him/her to school.
6. I've worked in many school districts and know from experience that they don't even care that much about the children learning. (You're believing their PR; be careful.) ALL school districts care about money first. This is where they are destroyed, actually. Money = power, those who control the money have the power, all humans want more power; therefore, all humans want to control that money. I have time and again seen the administrator's concerned with controlling the money and some of the teachers wanting to be there instead. Teach? What's that? Your bus stop is where the most economically viable location was determined. Mr. pedophile can just move.
7. THE PEDOPHILE SHOULD BE REMOVED!!!!! Most cities will not allow a convicted pedophile within a certain ammount of miles from school zones.You are directing your concern to the wrong people.Rather you should go to law enforcement and find out why a pedophile is being allowed to live so close to where children must be at,in order to be transported to their schools. Adults among you who are parents of these children that must use this particular location to wait for the buses must accompany their children and stay with them until the bus arrives or just take your child to school yourself until the matter can be cleared up.The inconvinience is worth the welfare of the child,but defenetly DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS!!!!!Go to the authorities NOW!!! and discuss with them your concern and take with you other parents sharing the same situation and concerns so that immidiate action can be taken more rapidly.If you can afford a lawyer I would seek legal counsel to see what options are available.
