Im going to school in the dc area and i want to take the greyhound home to spend the weekeng there....?
i was wondering if anyone knows if the metro bus stops at the station itself or if you have to walk to the station from the bus stop. and how safe/unsafe the area is

- yull b fine i live in maryland used to live in dc call the metro press 0 to talk to the operator 202 632 7000 i blieve thats the number or 202 637 7000
- Unfortunately the Greyhound station in DC is NOT in a particularly good area. There's a 10 minute walk from the Metro station to the Greyhound station. During the day it's not too bad, but I wouldn't do it after dark.
- That really depends on where home is and where you are. The main downtown Greyhound station is all of 4 blocks north of Union Station metro. Greyhound also makes about a dozen stops in the various suburbs of D.C. Plus if you're talking NYC, Philly, or Atlantic City there are other bus companies that do those runs for far cheaper than Greyhound.
