Are greyhound buses on time?

I am travleling to San Francisco in August via greyhound and the bus schedule says i will arrive in San Francisco at 230pm. I have a flight taking off at 1030pm that same day, so I am just wondering how accurate the greyhound schedule is in tune with reality. I really dont want to miss my flight in case the bus schedule is exaggerating how fast they go from place to place. So anyone with experience riding a greyhound on a longer bus ride (like over 12 hours) I would love to hear from you. Thank you in advance for the advice.

1. One of the biggest problems with any bus schedule is traffic. The schedule is most likely set for standard traffic. But if there is a big accident on the highway and cars come to a complete stop, so will the bus. I used to take a bus once a month that left New York. It was only a 2 1/2 hour bus ride and it while we always left on time, we never arrived on time.
