What all do I need to know about traveling to a different state on a greyhound?

I'm a 17 year old girl and I live in Wisconsin, I am going to Louisiana to go see my aunt. I have to travel via Greyhound and I've never done that before. I have been to there site to check baggage information and other stuff but if anyone who has actually traveled via Greyhound has more information or tips or anything please let me know. It would be much appreciated.

1. Take your own food and maybe 20 for on the road and get to the station at least 1 hour prior to departure and take a pillow and also make sure your cell phone is good for the road.
