USA Bus Lines

What public transportation is available from Washington D.C. metro area to Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets?

I saw this answer asked many times here on elsewhere on the net, but with no definite answers. However I just figured out how to do it today and wanted to share the info for all. - First, go to West Falls Church metro station (by bus or train - this is easy), and take the stairs to go down to Bus Bay A. There are signs, but if in doubt ask the metro manager on duty. - Take the Loudoun County Commuter Bus - not the regular one; you need to take the Reverse Schedule one instead - this costs about $1.75 each way: http://www.loudoun.gov/controls/speerio/resources/RenderContent.aspx?data=ae0faafddd714a989bb7579cb236bfff&tabid=333 - Get off at the Loudoun Country Government building stop (the second to last stop) - Take the free Leesburg Trolley that stop every 30 minutes or so right in front of the main Government Building. - Arrive at Leesburg Outlet and shop till you drop. Voila! Do keep in mind that this will require you to spend most of your day there because of the limited availability of the buses, but it's so worth it. Some sources and useful links for you guys: http://www.loudoun.gov/Default.aspx?tabid=969 http://www.vatransit.org/map.cfm?map=2008LeesburgTrolley.gif http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/directions.asp?id=14 I hope this will be helpful for some of you! I love this site and always get a lot of useful info, so it's time to give back :)

  1. You give back by answering questions. You do not give back by posting a statement as a question.
  2. From Falls Church VA to Dulles Airport and Loudoun and then Leesburg is a quite long distance via automobile or commuter bus and there are tolls for cars. Rush hour traffic and congestion despite HOV lanes is not a hop, skip and jump and if one used commuter buses and did not plan accordingly way ahead in advance the taxi fare back to Falls Church would be extremely costly and negate any savings... The 2 outlet malls much bigger than Leesburg Premium and crowded are Williamsburg VA Premium Outlet and the ones in Lancaster PA.
