Stopping when a school bus is unloading?

Lets say I'm taking a left onto a quiet street and there is a school bus stopped past another small intersection close by. There is a driver that has stopped before the intersection. I drive up and stop behind him. Is this cool? I'm a new driver.

  1. In PA and related driving standards states, unless its a divided highway you have to stop on a double lane road, in any lane whether you're behind, beside or facing the bus.
  2. Good idea! You can never be too careful when it comes to school buses. Kids just want to run and I witnessed a child being killed in just such a situation. The driver told me that she came out of nowhere. I never forgot the screams of her little sister. So keep up the good driving!
  3. if bus has warning lights on dont pass him/dont block any intersections
