I have an Italian Greyhound and we have a trip planned from TN to CA, which is a 4 hour flight?
Does anyone have any experience giving their Italian Greyhound Acepromazine? I tested the prescribed dosage on him, but it took him over 24 hours to become normal again. I want him to be comfortable during the 4 hour flight, but I am afraid of giving him too much. I've heard IGs are very sensitive to Ace. Any suggestions please!

- Does he have to go on cargo? or can he go with you? if he can go with u, he does not need ace, my pomeranian flies with me without pills or craps, and hes totally fine, but hes used to it since he was a puppy...so i dont know if he is an adult and it is his first time...you want to ask to a veterianrian? Even that, some vets dont even know what is an italian greyhound so i suggest you try contacting a REPUTABLE italian greyhound breeder, they use to fly with their dogs for go to shows and so on.. Or try to email/phone any italian greyhound club: http://www.akc.org/breeds/italian_greyhound/
