Why does He let it happen?"
13 Dead In Houston Charter Bus Crash Thirteen people from a local church are killed and dozens are injured when a charter bus crashes in north Texas, KPRC Local 2 reports. We are taught to believe that nothing ever happens unless God wills it to happen. If that is true, then why would God allow something like this to happen?

- why did steven curtis chapman's daughter die? everything happens for a reason. have faith in the Lord
- The Lord works in ways so mysterious, they're indistinquishable from random chance.
- Dont think of of letting that happen but giving us the freedom of choice. And people turn there back on the greatest things in life and only remember the tragedy's.
- Do you believe everything anyone has ever taught you?
- No. "We" are not taught that. God has a will, but we also have a will. A murder is something that occurred because a human willed it to happen, not God. God never willed evil into the world. Our first parents, "Adam and Eve," are the cause. Why does God allow evil? This question has its basis in faith. Only faith has a true answer. We must believe that God has a plan, since he is all-knowing and he foreknew that evil would have came into the world. We should believe that good comes forth from evil. The saving act of Jesus Christ, God, the Father's only Son, is something *good* that came out of evil - our sins. _______________________ Edit: p.s. I know that bus accident..like many other things..was not something that occurred because a human willed it. However, we must believe that all evil and suffering - including death - is an effect of sin, the sin of our first parents. Mizz Zero (Bak in da Hat) Hippie: What about all of the martyrs? Why didn't God protect them? This has been thaught out before. Suffering is a huge part of the Christian person.
- He wouldn't if he existed.
- Maybe life is just random...?
- Whoever taught you that nothing ever happens unless God wills it is teaching you something that is basically a superstition. Whoever taught you that is denying that we have free will. That is the reason that "nothing happens that God doesn't will" is false. We have free will and God never violates it. Those people died because tragedies happen: sometimes human error is the reason, sometimes there is no discernable reason. "Everything that happens is God's will" is a fairy tale and the people who cling to it are spiritually afraid to embrace the responsibility they play in their own lives.
- God did not will this to happen.I am sure that if the gunman asked god to help him do his will before he shoot those people he would have not done it for it would have not been gods will for him to do it.As for the bus accident.Someone was not paying attention like they should have been.
- Everything happens for a reason, unfortunately =[
- We don't know only God knows. He has a plan for us and we have no idea what is going to happen next and that's really all i can say.
- God can and will make anything bad into good, for HIS plan.
- That's not true....It was not God's will that Adam and Eve eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, most of the worlds tragedies are not the will of God...You must not forget we have an adversary named Satan, and he comes only to steal, kill and destroy...That's why we need to stay close to God...
- God in His wisdom knows what He is doing. We do not know what might have been in store for those that died in that bus wreck, they may have contracted some horrible disease and suffered greatly. We must all taste death in order to have eternal life.
- People of various religions have gone to their religious leaders and teachers to ask why there is so much suffering. Often, the response is that suffering is God’s will and that he long ago determined everything that would ever happen, including tragic events. Many are told that God’s ways are mysterious or that he brings death upon people—even children—so that he can have them in heaven with him. The Bible clearly states: “The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” (1 John 5:19) When you think about it, does that not make sense? This world reflects the personality of the invisible spirit creature who is “misleading the entire inhabited earth.” (Revelation 12:9) Satan is hateful, deceptive, and cruel. So the world, under his influence, is full of hatred, deceit, and cruelty. That is one reason why there is so much suffering. “time and unforeseen occurrence.” (Ecclesiastes 9:11) In a world without Jehovah as a protective Ruler, people may suffer because they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Jesus Christ spoke of a certain calamity involving 18 people who were killed when a tower fell on them. (Luke 13:4) They suffered because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Similar things happen today. , God is not responsible for wickedness; nor does he cause suffering. On the contrary, it is Jehovah’s purpose to eliminate wickedness and those who cause it. (Proverbs 2:22) In fact, he will do more than that. The Scriptures declare that God’s purpose through Christ is “to break up the works of the Devil.” (1 John 3:8) The present system of things—based on greed, hatred, and wicked deeds—will then be gone. God will even “wipe out every tear from [all] eyes,” thus bringing an end to suffering.
- It is Hillary's and the devils fought. alone with the freewill of mankind. Sin bringth Death. Just joking about Hillary, all-tough, I was reading up on your other questions, you gave a good answer on Hillary, I liked it. But we can ask God for protection as believers in Jesus Christ.
- Well yes, I believe that everything God does is for a reason. Why He does it I don't know. I guess He's opening other opportunities for their loved ones. Like if someone didn't die, then lets say their sister wouldn't have gone to a group meeting and met their future spouse. And then they had the person who made a great discovery for mankind. And I sometimes think that maybe, life is just kinda like to get you ready for your real life in heaven. I don't believe in Hell so I like to believe that we're all reunited in Heaven. And all live together in peace with everything.
- God did not allow this to happen, a bad tire allowed this to happen, why weren't the tires checked before the trip? Or maybe the tire looked new and was on the shelf to long before it was bought. God gets blamed for the mistakes of man! Stop blaming God for all these tragedy's
- I find it truly amazing that in one way or another the God believers will answer saying have faith in the Lord; He works in mysterious ways, instead of facing the truth of the matter that there is no God and that these accidents happen because that is exactly what they are, accidents. The fact that they were christian does not exempt them from being human and subject to the same universal laws which the rest of us have to abide by.
- We have to live in a dangerous world. Otherwise our moral choices wouldn't matter, there'd always be time to make it right later.
- so many explainations all requiring faith in the almighty God.
