If the charter bus in Texas was carrying passengers to worship God, why would God let them be killed?
SHERMAN, Texas - A charter bus carrying Vietnamese worshippers on a pilgrimage slammed onto its side and off a highway north of Dallas early Friday, killing at least 14 people and injuring more than 40, authorities said. Many of those on the bus were from the Vietnamese Martyrs Church of Houston and were on their way to a religious festival in Carthage, Mo.

- Because God does not get involved here.
- Supposedly, one of my co-workers was on that bus =/
- Maybe it was just their time to die.
- (what a pretty picture you have.) And I don't know what is up with God but all I know is they went to heaven.
- God has a reason for evrything. We dont know why things like that happen. But they do for a reason. Some people get saved because of things like that,
- Zeus doesn't like people who worship false Gods...
- I asked the same question this morning, http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ag0flgVb9fKzAWLKo09_FtDsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080808051116AA6EF75 Look at some of these lame answers...
- most of the time when you go thru a hard time, what happens? you grow stronger in God and you can tell others about it when they are going thru the same thing. its happened to me before. a few months ago i was going thru rough times and i talked about it with a close friend of mine and it turns out she went thru the same thing about five months ago. so it helped me by talking to her, and shes the best friend i could ever have and she will always be! so i hope you got something good from this!
- ...who are we to ask: Isaiah 45:9 "Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker...Does the clay say to the potter, 'What are you making?'
- A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut a nd his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said, 'I don't believe that God exists.' 'Why do you say that?' asked the customer. 'Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist.' Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things.' The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber, 'You know what? Barbers do not exist.' 'How can you say that?' asked the surprised barber. 'I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!' 'No!' the customer exclaimed. 'Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside.' 'Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when people do not come to me.' 'Exactly!' affirmed the customer. 'That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world.'
- They were going to worship Mary..something. ´´God´´ got mad, and let the driver crash. End of story.
- Well religious folks will tell you that there must be a greater plan for them. Bunch of crap if you ask me.
- You mean why didn't God let them live forever? Or why would God not make us robots so we couldn't make human errors and sin and would live in a world devoid of the darkness that we have brought to it but also devoid of the capacity to love God or each other? Would that be more like the God you want to have, one that wouldn't let you think at all or have any free will? You don't think through your questions that much, do you? As long as you feel better about your rebellion, that's what matters, right?
- I think that everyone should wait until the accident report comes out showing what actually caused the accident. People are always ready to blame God when something like this happens when the majority of accidents are caused through man's failures in one way or another. Isn't it convenient to have God there to blame but not to thank? Would anyone have praised God if, after such an accident, everyone inside the vehicle was totally unharmed? No, God would not have had a mention in those circumstances. We are not promised a life without tragedy, pain, suffering or tears whilst here on earth but we are in the next life. Read about it in the bible - book of Revelation. rabendan... Thank you so much for that, I have given you a 'thumbs up' but wish I could have given you ten.
- The question is not why but why not. No one is immune from tragedies in life. Christians are as vulnerable to things happening as anyone.People chose to drive and things happen. My church had a youth go to a Christian festival and she went on a ride and ended up falling to her death...why indeed! God does not promise that there will be no tragedies in life -just that if things happen we have the promise of His never ending Grace and hope when these things happen there is a Glory reason..In God's plan-that we can not see with our human eyes,it all works together in God's big plan.
- What makes you think God had anything to do with it? Religion is an opinion, not a fact. If this lot thought that God would protect them from harm then they thought wrong.
- Maybe they were cutting cost on the transportation, and ended up chartering a bus operated by company that cuts costs on safety quality?
