USA Bus Lines

Which would be better, traveling by airplane or by bus?

Also are there any other buslines in the US besides Greyhound? I will be going about halfway across the country so I need one that runs all around the US

  1. don't know about different buslines, but def. by airplane is faster and cheaper than bus/car/rail.
  2. Buses are slower, but much cheaper, and you get to see the scenery along the way. There are lots of bus lines. Type "bus lines" and the name of your state into Google search. Some are local, in-state, and some are interstate, depends on where you want to go. For a while, some of the bus lines were running specials, but that may have ended when fuel prices went up.
  3. Train is my favorite. airplane is not enjoyable for me, but better than a bus. Bus trip 1/2 way across the USA? NO WAY! Dirty, smelly uncomfortable-- lots of stops, lay-overs and switching buses. Lot's of ummm-- "interesting" (that should read SCARY) people take the bus.
  4. Airplane because you get there quicker
