Do you talk to the people at your school bus stop?

Today at my bus stop it was just me and this guy who's my neighbor. I've basically known him for, like, ever, but we're not really friends. We didn't say one word standing there for like 5 minutes! It drove me nuts! but I think it would be even more awkward if i just striked up some random conversation lol! And it's always like this, usually noone talks at the bus stop! Is it ever like this for you?

1. no i talk to everybody at my bus stop even people i don't know. just say something to him one day.
2. If I were you, I would be talking to him!! like just say "Hi" or "you're taking buses everyday??. I'm japanese so I don't know how people do in this situation in your country. but I think that it's good thing to be his friend.
