what's the difference between charter buses and public school buses?

We are going on a field trip to busch gardens and its like a 4 hour drive.The teachers didn't want to go on a school bus so they got charter buses.Now its more expensive,why? Can you tell me the benefits of a charter bus for all 8th grade class.

1. First off, a charter bus fits more people than a school bus does. A charter bus is a giant bus with comfortable seats, tvs, bathrooms, heavy air conditioning. A school bus is just a small bus used for transporting small distances. Believe me a charter bus is better.
2. well they are more comfortable they come with a restroom ( what kid doesn't have to use the restroom on a field trip) some even come with DVD players now which would you prefer?
