Could you share me your experiences in a long trip using Greyhound bus lines?
Have you ever had a long trip using Greayhound Bus Lines? For example, from New York to California, or any other trip two or more days long for example? Is it fun because you know many states? Is it difficult because you do not have a comfortable time/place to sleep? Should you get enough food or buy somewhere else? Please share your experiences. Thanks. - It's a bus. It's long distance. Yes, you get break stops, but the view isn't that good, cos you're on a freeway/ Also the windows are heavily tinted so no photos. I would suggest a train would be much more interesting. Or if you want the bus stop off regularly.
- I would think it would be incredibly boring. There are huge stretches of sameness in the country. You will spend endless hours staring at cornfields or wheatfields. I hope you are able to read on a bus. I would think that whether you were able to get sufficient sleep would depend on how easily you are able to sleep in odd situations. You should definitely try to bring snacks. The chances are that many of your "stops" will be in bus terminals or small stations where there is little to eat. A trip cross-country like that will take days, and if you do have to stop and wait for a transfer, it may be in the middle of the night or a bad part of town, and you will have nowhere to go and nothing to do. I agree that a train might be more comfortable, but worst case scenario for a train is you could arrive DAYS late. I can drive down the East Coast to Florida in 24 hours. My brother took a train (he lives 3 hours closer than I do) and it took 45 hours. ∠°)
- not to sure
