What is the difference between a greyhound and an italian greyhound?

4. Mainly,size. They are totally seperate breeds, but at a glance they have the same appearance. Greyhounds are the big guys, Whippets are medium ized, and Italian Greyhounds are the toy sized.

Italian greyhound grown about 12-15 inches long and weight 6-10 pound and live for 13-15 years. they come from italy . the breed is a small, elegant greyhound, with a tapering muzzle, arched back and loin. the ears fold back against the head, the tail is long and ends in a curve, the coat is short and may be greay, cream, fawn, black, or blue often with white markings on the chest and feet. italian greyhound has a lively and affectionate nautre, and in practical terms sheds almost no hair , requires little grooming . is virtually odourles and is inexpensive to feed. despite its somewhat frail appearance, this breed is also hardy and relatively long lived.
