cheapest bus service from either Blacksburg or Roanoke VA to Boston Ma?

I am planning a bus trip from either Blacksburg or Roanoke VA to Boston Ma. I looked at Greyhound buses and it is around $107 dollars one way...is there a cheaper bus services available?

1. Well, you could take Greyhound to DC ($50-$60)., Then take Bolt to NYC (around $24) Then one of the "Chinatown" buses (Lucky Star, Fung Wah) for $15 (not sure on the connections). Cheapest DC to NY fare I can find is $20 ("Chinatown" buses). When all is said and done, you're probably better off sticking with Greyhound and not paying much more either... Added 10/15 1929Edt. - Looks like bus or train, it's going to take a while :( Added 10/16 2233Edt. - The lowest "Amtrak to BWI" fare I could find on their site is $44 but you must go early in the week or it bumps to $52.
2. Try Amtrak from Clifton Forge to Boston. Depending on the day, it can be $97-$174. Much more comfortable for an overnight trip.
3. I would take Amtrak up to BWI airport in Baltimore, and then switch to Southwest Airlines, which now serves Boston, and if you buy your ticket 21 days in advance the price is as low as $50 each way. Or if you can somehow get a ride to Dulles Airport, Jet Blue offers sale fares from there for $39 each way.
