in an smrt bus in singapore,can i alight at any bus stop or just those that are designated for the service?

I'm a tourist hlere in singapore. If i were to take the public smrt bus, can i alight at any bus stop or just those that are designated for the specific bus service no. i am in? (coz i am aware that a bus service has designated bus stops for loading ) just wanted to know if it also applies to alighting. Thanks!

1. SMRT buses are only allowed to stop at bus stop. You can alight at any bus stop but you may need to press to bell to alert the driver to stop at the upcoming bus stop. If you are unsure which bus stop you need to alight, just inform the bus driver when you get on board the bus.
