Greyhound Bus Ticket Dillema?

I have a friend of mine who i want to come and see me this weekend. only problem is i havent bought the tickets yet, i know the schedule and the fare, i just want to know if i buy them, is there a way for her to get on the bus even though its too late to send them to her via mail.. ?? can they hold the tickets at the counter of her local greyhound station? how would that work? thank you

  1. dont know bout bus but at one time you could do it on an airline and mabe still can---it's called a prepaid ticket advice---you could buy a ticket at any ticket office anywhere and they would send ticket authorization to the boarding city. mabe the bus will do it also. be sure and stipulate "refund to purchaser only" that way the other person can't turn in the ticket and get the money--they have to use ticket--it's worth a try
  2. Call greyhound...you can arrange to pay and the tickets will be waiting for her. Remember...in the future...if you buy the tickets 7 days or 14 days ahead of time...they are much cheaper.
  3. She can pick them up at the Station where she boards the bus, just make sure you designate that she can pick them up and that she shows ID.

GTO allows you to purchase a ticket online for another person. PTO allows you to send a same-day ticket to a person in another city.
