How can I get from Tweed New Haven Airport into West Haven, CT late at night or early in the morning?

I'm flying into Tweed New Haven Airport and will be arriving around 11:30 pm on a Friday and will be trying to get to West Haven. I'm no good at reading bus schedules but from what I can tell, the city bus doesn't run that late? I will also need to get to the airport by 5 am on Monday. So my question is: Is anyone here familiar with the area and the bus routes? If so, can you tell me if what I've figured out is correct, that I can't get a bus that early or late? The airport website lists Metro Taxi & Heritage Taxi. Are they good choices and how much should it cost to get from the airport to West Haven (the very edge of West Haven, on Kimberly right across the river)? Are there any other options? Renting a car is not an option for me and I will call the bus company in the morning, but I'm looking for advice from someone who knows the area and the transportation system. Thanks!!

1. Take a cab, the buses won't work the hours you need. Metro is fine, make sure you call the night before to arrange pickup on Monday morning, the cabs are surprisingly busy at that hour. Metro is easiest to remember -- 203 777 7777 (Their motto is All you need is 7). The fare should be $20-ish.
